If you are looking for a company you can trust to improve the appearance of your windows, a company I would trust is Wasatch Shutter Design. I trust them because we have investigated their business practices, and the way they treat their customers. And as a result, I am proud to endorse Wasatch Shutter Design and declare them Gephardt Approved.
Alan Clegg initially started Wasatch Shutter Design back in 1996 after working in the industry. He says he saw a strong need for change. He built Wasatch Shutter Design to serve the entire state of Utah, as well as parts of both Idaho and Wyoming.
Wasatch Shutter Design manufactures all of the products they sell in their own Salt Lake factory. Alan says that solved a huge deficiency in the industry. “There was a long delay customers had to put up with to have the shutters installed,” he says. “Once a customer ordered it was taking 8-12 weeks to have it installed. By manufacturing the shutters ourselves, we can decrease these wait times.”
Alan says their goal today is the same as it was when he opened Wasatch Shutter Design 15 years ago: “To create and continually improve upon a high quality product in a shorter amount of time.”
Alan says when it comes to customer service they have put together several steps:
The customer needs to be matched to the correct product. A solid wood shutter does not make sense in a room that has a high moisture content. So by installing wood in some rooms and synthetic in others, they can educate their clients and get the best results for years to come.
A full product description is detailed on both the contract and on an additional checklist. They do not use product codes or part numbers. Descriptions eliminate confusion or miscommunication.
At the signing of the contract, the actual install date is set. This again helps avoid confusion, and sets the expectation level for the client.
While Wasatch Shutter Design manufactures its own shutters, they can sell and install any window covering (shutters, blinds, shades, etc.) made and ordered from any company. On the shutters Wasatch Shutter Design manufacturers, they offer a Lifetime Product and Parts Warranty, as well as a 10 Year Warranty on Paint Finish. Alan explains that their paint actually contains ultra violet ray inhibitors that prevent the shutters from discoloring due to heat.
They employ 22 full-time factory trained, insured installers and sales people. Alan is very vocal about the fact that they take care of their employees and nearly all have been with them for over five years.
So, Wasatch Shutter Design: Now you know what I know about their business practices, how they treat their customers, and you know why I am proud to endorse Wasatch Shutter Design as Gephardt Approved.
