What is the GEPHARDT APPROVED Auto Dealers' Code of Ethics
The GEPHARDT APPROVED Auto Dealers' Code of Ethics is a set of rules I require of any auto dealer before they can be an endorsed GEPHARDT APPROVED company. The Auto Dealers Code of Ethics was written by me (Bill Gephardt), and it is based on my 40 years of experience watching frustrated consumers getting cheated, and it was all perfectly legal. My Auto Dealers' Code of Ethics goes above and beyond state and federal laws regulating how dealers treat customers, and I believe honest dealers are happy to abide by them.
How does DISPUTE RESOLUTION WORK?
Occasionally, a consumer will have a dispute with a GEPHARDT APPROVED company. If the consumer and the business are not able to reach an agreement, the consumer (or the business) may submit a complaint to us at GEPHARDT APPROVED in writing. We begin by acknowledging receipt of the complaint, and forwarding that complaint on to the company. The company has 2 business days to answer that complaint, and off a preliminary explanation. Most often, it ends right there and both sides are happy with the result. If the complaint continues, the GEPHARDT APPROVED staff will begin investigating and WE DO NOT TAKE SIDES. We look for a way to reconcile the situation. The whole process is designed to actually resolve the issue, and it generally prevents complaints from being posted on the various internet websites and social media. Dispute resolution is designed only for GEPHARDT APPROVED companies.
